Product code/ Designation: DM –
For pipes with diameters smaller than ≤ 100 mm, the inside of the pipe has a 1.0 mm cable (or 1.7mm steel) covered with plastic at least ≥ 0.2 mm thick. For pipes with diameter = 125 mm, inside the pipe there is a 1.7 mm steel wire covered with plastic ≥ 0.25 mm thick. For pipes with a diameter of ≥ 150 mm or more, inside the pipe there is a 2.0 mm steel wire covered with plastic ≥ 0.3 mm thick, seamless steel wire (joints not larger than 2 joints).
Some notes about the bait wire available in the tube:
- Only use available bait wire to pull the electric cable when the electric cable has an outer diameter of less than 20 mm so that the total weight of the cable is less than the allowable tensile strength (according to table 13).
- In case the cable has an outer diameter greater than 20 mm but less than 50 mm, replace the existing bait wire with a nylon wire with a diameter of 6 mm or more to pull the cable.
In case the cable has an outer diameter greater than 50 mm, it is recommended to replace the existing bait wire with a plastic-coated silk cable to pull the cable, the diameter of the silk cable is from 3 mm to 16 mm (depending on the weight of the cable to be installed). . - In case of installing 110 kV or 220 kV high voltage underground cables, please contact BaAn directly to order primer wire made of plastic-coated silk cable.
There are three common types of primer wire: 1.0 mm, 1.7 mm and 2.0 mm, used for the following pipe sizes:
